We are starting our new blog this year. It will be private just to satisfy our concerns and paranoia about privacy. For those interested, I published a book from our old blog and it makes a great family journal and is very fun to look through. Only bummer is the loss of video.
Our family has made a lot of goals for this year. We are one cheesy family but it is working for us so will stick with it. Our Theme for the year is "Scripture Power" and we will attempt to read the Book of Mormon as a family this year.
Our focus for the month of January is Respect and each week for FHE we focus on different aspects of respect (ie, Body, Family, Authority, Jesus, etc).
Brayden and Lane have each made two New Year's Resolutions.
Brayden's are: #1 is to keep a journal this year and #2 Do a science experiment.
Lane's are: #1 Learn to tie his shoes (already done!!) and #2 is Learn how to read
Trent and I have made ours but will spare you the details.
We added to our family motto which now states:
Shelton's never quit.
Shelton's try their best.
Shelton's work hard and
Shelton's have a GREAT attitude.
We are off to a good start and it will be another fun year of change and anticipation. We haven't pinned down exactly where we will be going for the next year until residency begins but do know that we will be moving off base in June. Details to come.
